Plastic recycling

The ER process is also capable of returning the plastic back to its basic building blocks so that new plastics can be created.

The ER technology then uses its patented process of impurity extraction to convert the pyrolysis output into a road ready fuel specification: EN590 diesel and EN 228 naphtha (petrol).

Recycling - The Process

The ER technology uses at its base the well-known and proven process of pyrolysis: this process subjects’ plastic to a high temperature heat stream (above 400 degrees Celsius) in the absence of oxygen. This causes the polymer to break down into smaller molecules forming gas and liquids, which resemble crude oil. The liquids are fractionated into hydrocarbons in the form of gasoline, kerosene, and diesel fuel.
